When I got accepted to play Aragorn, does anyone want to join him in a thread anywhere? I am certainly going to be playing him around the place and not letting this wonderful rpg die. I am thinking of having him meet Arwen somewhere around Rivendell? What inspired my sample rp post actually, maybe meet some others along the way? Let me know whether you're interested.  |

Its set before the fellowship of the ring but before Aragorn was searching for Gollum. ...... Should have made that clearer! Sorry! |

I apologise for all the dates and figures...  ...and is that before, or after you are betroved to Arwen (ie after you had met her in Lothlorien... ? (2980)) Remember that the Undomiel lived with her grandmother for the majority of Aragorn's life in Rivendell. She met the young Aragorn 29 years prior to the betroval, on a brief visit home (2951), when she was (a mere) 2,710 years old. He 20. (wow, age gap...) "It chanced that he (Aragorn) returned to Rivendell after great deeds in the company of the Sons of Elrond..." As noted in Appendix A of ROTK 2951 * Aragorn learns his true name and ancestry from Elrond. He is given the shards of Narsil. Aragorn meets Arwen at Rivendell. He then embarks into the Wild on many adventures. 2956 * Aragorn meets Gandalf. 2957-2980 * Aragorn journeys throughout Middle-earth. He serves King Thengel of Rohan and Ecthelion II, Steward of Gondor. I would like to RP the twins of the last homely house... along with Aragorn, at some point... Years 2,511 through 3,019: Elladan and Elrohir's questing years. It is implied that they become closer to the folk of the Dúnedain during this time.
Year 2,933: Aragorn's father, Arathorn, "went riding against Orcs with the Sons of Elrond, and he was slain by an orc-arrow that pierced his eye." Aragorn is two years old at the time. Appendix A of ROTK.
Years 2940 - 2951: The twins teach young Aragorn about hunting orcs and other wilderness skills. They do not mention their sister at all to Aragorn during this time, presumably under a ban from Elrond. As noted in Appendix A of ROTK, "It chanced that he (Aragorn) returned to Rivendell after great deeds in the company of the Sons of Elrond..."
Year 3018: The Lord of the Rings storyline begins. Elladan and Elrohir are 2,988 years of age. |

I think maybe rping Aragorn being younger and being trained by the twins would be interesting to see.
