Ithilethiel leaned gratefully against the roaned stallion. Slowly, he inched his hand down Anormir's crested neck down his whithers and shoulders. His clouded grey eyes scrutinized the magnificent creature for a time.
"You are a magnificent horse..." I murmer quietly and scratch his whithers. "I have never seen your equal." His stomach gave an aweful lurch as he remembered. His filly, Alaya. What had become of her. I sit deathly still, eyes focused on the far distance as if she would just materialize out of thin air. He cleched his thin fingers into a tight fist as he resisted the urge to yell. It would do him no good if he went into a frenzy about Alaya. A sharp whistle broke the serene silence of the forest, the tone was high and clear. One that Alaya knew well. He looked around, eyes showing his desperation. All that returened it was long horrible silence. Again he whistled, but this time half-heartedly. A feeling of dread was no added, lodging deep within his stomach. Nothing returned except the hoofbeats of the coming rangers. He slowly closed his eyes, stroking the roaned stallion of which he leaned upon. He seemed calm, it was the calm before the storm. He knew there was a likely chance he would lose it...
[Wanna put a twist in to keep it really interesting? Orcs or something? I donno. You guys can decide ^^]

Faero's ears prickled when he heard a long whistle coming from where he'd left the other two Elves. He sat up straighter in the saddle, his eyes narrowing. That whistle was known only to Rangers. That could only mean that one of those Elves was connected to the Rangers in some way. But how?
It didn't matter. He could hear pounding hooves behind him, swiftly gaining on him. His Ranger companions would be upon him within minutes. He drew rein to wait, wishing for the extra time to think. What could he do about this other Elf, who knew the whistle of the Rangers?
Two horses thundered toward him, their riders hidden beneath dark cloaks. He knew them by their mounts. Vyn and Ettan. Both good men and capable healers. Moreso than he. Faero held his right arm up, signalling them toward him, calling out to them. They needed no urging to ride faster. That he had summoned them was enough. Without questioning him, they rode behind him toward the dark and looming forest.

"Damn, where is he?!" I hiss, I then give a more urgent, high pitched whistle, that said, HURRY UP!! I glanced down at the Ellon leaning against Anormir. "He truely is a wonderful horse..." I say, my eyes softening at the sight of the two together.
But they did not stay soft for long, they turned that startling shade of indigo, rage coursed through me once again, where in Mordor where they?! Had they abandoned us? If they had, I swore then and there that I would hunt them down and slaughter them all...

The mounting fury within me is not quelled. For my on wellbeing I fight it and try to remain calm. I could end up dead quicker than I man think. I bury my face in the roaned stallion's mane. The sweet smell of the equine engulfed me, a wonderful warm scent. I stroked his silky neck once again, speaking softly to it. Not really any words, but it was the tone of voice that mattered
"You would of liked Alaya." I mumbled quietly, "if not, she would have liked you." I did not know if the stallion listened to my words, but I didn't care. It soothed me just to think so. My head began to cloud a little. How long did the plant last?

(Came up with a plot last night!! YAYZERS!)
Anormir nickered quietly, nudging the Ellon's cheek with his soft muzzle and blowing in his ear...
I start to pace, and when I turn toward the forest, I see shadows moving among the trees, I take a few steps closer, "YRCH!" I shout, just before five arrows come at me, four hitting me in the stomach and one just below my collar bone.
I am almost thrown backwards to the ground with the force of the blow, but instead I turn around and am hit with three more, two imbedded in my shoulders and one on the lower back on the left of my spine. Again, I almost fall over, but regain my balance, taking several steps toward the pair on the ground.
"Orcs! Get onto Anormir, RIDE! Do not stop!" I shout at the two, Anormir nudges the Elf urgently, not able to stand until he slips onto his broad back. "GO NOW! He will not let you come to harm!!"
I turn back to the forest and draw my sword, swaying a little on the spot as not only Orcs, but Uruk-hai come charging out of the forest at us. I fight the urge to fall over and let them do with me what they would, I enter the fray, though I don't know how I stayed on my feet that long...

I grabbed a silky lock of the stallions mane and andswung me leg over Anormir's broad back. I do not urge him on. How could I leave the one who just saved my life? She was a strong lass, but anyone would be slowed down with eight arrows portruding from their body. I feel Anortmir as he gathers from under me. I wait as he bursts forward into his smooth gait. With each stride I lurched uneasily. It is obvious I am not fully recovered.
"No, boy, this way." I whisper hoarasly as I turn the stallion around with leg pressures. I do not bother with the reins. They were an uneeded luxury. I push harder but do not kick as Anormir is loathsome to disobey his masters words. With a quiet snort he turned around. "Come on boy." I urge as he breaks into a gallop. I crouched low over his neck, giving the orcs a smaller target. My body sways naturally with the movemenst of the 4(?)-beat gait. We went head own, scattering the gathering of orcs.
"Give me your bow!" I croaked. Swiftly I duck, narrowly missing a flying arrow. "Quick!" I added hastily. My breathing became uneven. This would be a long fight...
__
A tremor of satisfaction ran through the gathering of orcs. The /two/ little "elflings" should pose no real threat to them. An orc advanced on the she-elf wielding a crudely forged sword. "Come and play little elfling..." It hissed menacingly. Arrows whistled through the air, posing a distraction. It would not be long until they tasted the sweet flesh of elves.

~Meh... I kick orc arse, wait, what?~
I slash at all the Orcs I can get to, and turn to Anormir, "NO! Ride away, Anormir, leave, don't come back for me!" I shout, angry at the Elf for disobeying my command. I hear the harsh words of an Orc, "Come and play little Elfling..."
I meet my curved Elven blade with his and engage in combat, every second my strength slipped from me, seeping out with the blood that ran from my many wounds. By now I was covered with my own blood and the black blood of the Orcs and Uruk-hai...

orc: He had the advantage of bulk and she the advantage of sleek agaility. A fair match. A low growl emitted from the distorted creatures throat. His movements became swift and blows becam hard. He began to use a strong offensive style of sparring. Darn it, the others couldn't shoot an arrow strait on their life. A straying one may hit its target, though. A crashing metal sound rang through the air as the two blades met. He pushed down forcefully, glaring into the she-elf's eyes.
__
Ithi: "Darn it! Tari, give me your bow!" I yell, straining my throat to the limit. Anormir turned beneath me and started to canter away. Swiftly I drew my dagger and swung my leg over the stallions back in a flying dismount. I fall at the hard impact by body can not yet endure. A horrible pain shot through my body. I cried out in pain but lept to my feet. An odd force gave him unwavering energy. I slash out at the small rank of the uruk-hai. They laugh at my small blade despite the fact I succed in ripping flesh. What I would do for a sword... I absent-mindedly thought to myself. I do have one don't I? Slowly, almost hesitantly I reach down my side. I felt a solid handle above a leather sheath. Quickly I drew the blade with my dominant hand. His fighting skills were better than he himself would have thought they would have been. He did succeed in taking down more than he thought, which was none...

My body is painfully jarred at the impact, I bring my sword around, but the blow is once again parried. The arrows that are potruding from me are poisioned ones, and I start to see my vision blur, but I am not about to give into an Orc. I whistle once more for the other Elf, but my hope of them returning is lost...
I am once again shaken by an even stronger blow from the Uruk.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see the Ellon on the ground. Rage rises within me, my blood boils. I turn from the Uruk and sprint towards the Elf. "I sware to Eru, if you don't leave, I'll kill you myself!" Shout, my eyes turning an even deeper indigo. I spin around just in time to catch a strike from the Uruk, who had followed me....

"The kill me now!! Spare all the suffering I must endure! Perhaps you have seen worse hardships, you have lived longer and have reached years I will never know!" I winced as a blade grazed my upper arm. I whirled around, with a graceful arc I slashed the orc across the chest. It fell heavily, writhing and screaming amoung the turmoil on the forest floor. I thrust my thin blade through its heart, assuring there would be no more trouble from that particular orc. I paused for a moment and gaze deep into the rangers deep, intense indigo eyes. One moment to long. I jump out of the way of an attacking orc, the blade leaving a long slash on my back. I yelled out in fury and pain. Blood began to flow freely from the shallow, but obvious wound. I move swiftly with lithe motions. My blows became harder despite the fatigue growing in my body. Not now... Don't loose it just now... I thought in desperation. I was tiring quickly, the poison of the spiders now running strongly through my veins.
__
Another low growl was emitted deep within the Uruk's throat. If he had struck only moments later, she would be his. He raised his blade high and sent it blindly crashing down.

Near on half a fortnight Haldir and his band had followed their foe beyond home lands. Glad was he of the days he made sure to study these lands well through the year! But still they have not gleamed any hint of what this filth was planning. Such cunning is not like yrcks...
Yet we let..no I- I let them live..what forces are behind such an idea.. thoughts of doubt and worry floated through Haldir's troubled as he sat against a tree trunk. His senses felt the rising storm
"Man tolthant i 'waew?" the quite voice broke through his stream of thoughts.
The yrcks had finally stopped to rest. The elves had taken the the time to make a small camp of their own just far enough away. The band of six was tense in waiting, though none had yet questioned Haldir's decision. This warmed his heart some as his sight swept to each of his fellow elves. His eyes finally came to the owner of that whisper so close to his own thoughts.
"Goheno nin Rúmil," he paused to contemplate a real response, but was saved by the site of his scout returning.
As one they jumped to their feet eager to hear what was spied. Noting the change in his scouts face he casually repeated his brother's own question.
"Man tolthant i 'waew?"
"Nan aear ar in elin! Uruk-hai!" the scout exclaimed.
Before they could respond they heard and felt the sounds of fighting.
"Garo chûr an ndagor!" Haldir commanded. And with arrows knocked the elves formed a loose half circle and vanished into the woods. Near the edge of the trees they found their prey and halted. With a small signal from Haldir they let loose a rain of arrows at the unaware orcs. Twice more they this till the orcs took notice, as a couple of their own fell to the ground dead.
"Si!" Haldir roared and the elves charges swords now in hand. With a rush he attacked a Uruk-hei but this one was not to be caught unawares. They fell in tumble to the ground trying to take an advantage. Rolling over and over weapons locked together they fell out into the clearing. With a well directed kick Haldir freed his sword just as the Uruk-hei was about to roll over him. As the turn finished the Uruk-hei landed with a sword in it's heart. Haldir Stood up and retreived his sword as he looked around him to catch his bearings. With a small breath he caught sight of an arrow ridden elf. 'Til now he had not the time to see who his band what saving, but he noted it now with a small grunt. With a slight change to his grip on his sword and a soft breath being taken he leaped upon the Uruk attacking the elf. With a tug he made sure it landed away from the wounded elf, pulling his sword free. His eyes narrowed as he took in the creature before him. A soft hiss escaped his lips as he took in the poisoned arrows.
"Le Boe nestad!" he looked back at the fighting still going on and then returned his gaze to the elf and her companion. "Boe i bedich," he handed her a soft pouch from his belt. "Hebo hen ,Boe!"
With that he rushed into the mess of a fight taking an orc down on his way.
Man tolthant i 'waew-How is the weather? Goheno nin Rúmil.- Forgive me Rúmil Rhaich!-Curses! Nan aear ar in elin!-By the sea and the stars! Garo chûr an ndagor-Be ready for battle Si!-Now! Le Boe nestad- You need healing(or close enough anyway..) Boe i bedich-You must go. Hebo hen-Take this

[Haldir has saved us!!] A rain of arrows weaved easily through the branches of the great forest. He saw many orcs fall and writhing on the bloodstained floor. Did these orcs have such bad aim that they hit their own? He peered closer to an arrow-stricken Uruk. These arrows were not of the orcs. He arched an eyebrow, genuinely perplexed. Swiftly he whirled around to catch a flying blade. If I had stood there just moments longer... I shiver at the thought of death, a thought that seemed so sweet perhaps minutes before. Ithilethiel felt a hard impact travel through his arms down the length of his lanky body. The impact of the two blades came again, sending easily on his knees. My gray eyes misted over with fear as they found a path to the Uruk's own. Ithilethiel shivered at the intense bloodlust coursing through its penetrating glare.
I will not make it through the night... A look of despair flooded the half-elf's fair face. With a peculiar twist of his blade he slashed the orcs legs. With the moment given he scrambled and ran his sword through its heart, narrowly missing the Uruk's floundering actions.
"Le Boe nestad, Boe i bedich, Hebo hen!" The foreign tongue floated to Ithilethiels ears, nearly droned by the shrieks of the dying. Ithilethiel stared blankly in return. He heard Tari using the odd tongue before, but it never really occured to him that he had no knowledge of what she was saying. Did Tari and this other of her race believe that he himself was an elf? His own knowledge included nothing of his bloodlines and Talien, he figured, would never dream of telling him.
An arrow found its place and was lodged deeply under his rib cage. He staggered backwards, dropping his dagger but managing to keep his sword. He felt the rough bark of a tree at his back. Numbly he took hold of the arrow, feeling warm blood rush over his hands. His vision blurred and came back into focus repeatedly. Never did he regret disobeying Tari's words, not even now. He found himself stumbling after the ranger having a small idea what the other elf had wanted by his gestures.
[Lol, I am not sure if you saw this in the c-box, Haldir, so I must tell you! Me an my friends were watching LotR and there was a scene when Haldir came out and I was just like: "Is that Thranduil?" Then everyone stared at me. Hehehe...]

I am unaware of the Uruk behind me, until someone came along and tackled it. By now my legs were ready to give out at any second, and they did.
I fell to my knees, my vision blurring even moreso then it had. I caught sight of the wounded Ellon against a tree with a black arrow sticking out of him. I closed my eyes, so this was it, he would die, I would die. Anormir would go on, without me, wandering the world in mourning, and the other Elf, well, he had abandoned us, so he wouldn't care.
I open my eyes, everything was out of focus, I fell over onto my side, my breathing had become laboured and harsh, the din of battle was still ringing in my ears...

((ooc:Ithilethiel, Ithilethiel,lol *shakes head*))
As Haldir ran back amid the fighting, now dying down in their favor, he heard the elven lady softly fall to her knees. He first gauged the fighting realizing that he was no longer needed and turned back to the wounded elf, but stopped as he noticed her friend down as well. With an oath he ran to catch the lady before she fell upon the arrows decorating her body.
"Rúmil!" Haldir called looking up from the elf he now carried gently in his arms. "Telo hí. Boe di nestad..Hortho!"
He watched as Rúmil ran over to aid the male, picking him up and finding a shaded stop under a tree a few feet away from the blood shed. Haldir followed with his own patient in tow. As he came up to the two he gently laid the lady down, listening to Rúmil's fast muttering as he looked the male over.
"Ni sí annad dulu achen," Haldir reminded his brother.
The healer looked up with a quick smile not breaking his chant as he moved his hands over the victim. Haldir busied himself with trying to take the arrors out of the lady elf.
"Do you understand Westron meldis?" he started to talk to her as he took an arrow in his hand. Making sure it it stayed clear of and organ. "You're in for pain," he warned and carefully pulled the arrow out. Slowly and methodically he pulled them all out, talking to her of the trees and her horse, anything to get her mind off the pain of metal being extracted. Soon the job was done and he looked up as Rúmil acme over. The male was quietly sleeping under the tree, his breath now normal and wounds covered. Hadril stood up leaving his brother to work, to check on his fellow elves.
Telo hí-Come here Boe di nestad..Hortho!- They need healing..fast! Ni sí annad dulu achen- I am here to support you meldis-friend

I felt myslef being picked up, put down and worked on, but did not feel anything. The Elf with me was mumbling something about someone somewhere but I could not hear a word he was speaking. I had my eyes closed tight and kept them that way.
The Ellon left me, I don't know where he went and another replaced him, this one was saying something also, though I still couldn't tell darkness from light...

OOC - Whoa, I can't make it to a computer for a couple days and you lot have a mini-war without me. I feel slighted. IC - The whistle, shrill and urgent, echoed to his ears even as he and his Ranger companions thundered over the last yards separating them from the forest's edge. The trio crossed from daylight to darkness without slowing, their horses following an unseen track known only to them. Faero rode with one hand on his sword, ready to pull the blade from its sheath at a moment's notice. There was danger everywhere in this forest. The abrupt noise of battle roared through the trees, giving his thoughts truth. It did not last long, but long enough to fire the Elf's blood and make him hungry for the blood of the unseen foe. Beynon leaped over a dip in the ground and within seconds, the trio found themselves closing on the scattered bodies of Orcs and Uruk-hai. A sneer twisted the Elf's features. The foul creatures were only meant to lie dead on the ground. A band of Elves were milling around, some tending to the two he had left, others searching the dead Orcs to ensure that none were still alive. Disgusted with himself that he had taken so long, Faero flung himself from the saddle and looked around for the leader of the Elf band.

~Sorry, Faero, I hope we can make it up to you... lol~
Suddenly, I was thrown out of the darkness and silence around me to hear the now clear chanting of the Ellon that was beside me, then the pain hit me.
It swept over me in great waves, racking my body and cramping my already strained muscles. "Sweet Eru!" I cry out, moaning and writhing on the ground in pain that I had only a few times before experienced, and it knocked me senseless...

((OOC: How the bloody hell do you state elves w/o it sounding like ownership?!lol, I mean men is open like...oh never mind, lol. Sorry there Faero, lol.)) Hearing the sound of charging horses Haldir looked up from conferring with one of his elves. He slowly raised an eyebrow as the trio made their way closer. He watched wearily as the elf dismounted and was about to hail him when he heard the lady cry out. "Sweet Eru!"Haldir turned to see what was wrong. Calmly walking over to the shade of the trees he gave his brother a questioning look. Rumil just smiled. It was all Haldir need and turned back to the others. "Boe annad dulu asson," Haldir stated to the elves following. Once again without a word one of the elves quietly walked over to lend Rumil a hand. Haldir walked over to the foreign elf and politely nodded. "Le suilannon," he quitely said including the two Rangers as well. "Telo govado ven?" he enquired. Maybe these new people could shed some light on the sutuation he hoped. Without waiting for a responce he headed to a small fire the elf helping Rumil had started. Boe annad dulu asson- He needs help(the actual word used is support, but it has the same meaning ) Telogovado ven- Come join us? ((ooc: hmm...I'm starting to get short now..that's not good..))

OOC - I must admit, I have no knowledge of the Elvish language, so forgive me not using it. I'll just write that Faero speaks it. Eh-heh.
IC -
"Of course," Faero replied, his tongue hesitating a bit over the Elvish words. He had not spoken the elegant language in quite some time, not having come into contact with another Elf for months. "What assistance can we offer?"
He needn't direct Vyn and Ettan to join him, as the two Rangers stood quietly behind him, watching the goings-on with casual interest. They were waiting for the word from either him or the other Elves to make use of their own healing skills.

Turning as the sound of an arrow reaches his ears Haldir watched the Uruk fall in astonishment. His eyes scan the tree line in search of the arrows owner. Seeing the elves blended in the green he spied a familiar face.
"Legolas!" the exclamation burst from his lips, his eyes sparkling with delight. Though slightly on edge from such interesting events he was glad none the less to see Legolas after so long. "Guren linna gen cened, mellon!"
Spotting Calad in the mists of green his eyes widened once more. Remembering himself he bowed his head in their direction.
"Please join up." He looked at both of the newly arrived parties. Pointing to where Rumil was over the wounded he remarked, "If there are you in knowledge of the art of healing my brother would welcome the help. Though I warn you he nor my fellow band know much of the language of men. Now please join us by the fire. I fear we have much we need discuss."
Haldir lead the party to the elves already resting, and folding his legs sat himself down facing the west. His humor slowly came back to him as he casually scanned the new ,and growing group, waiting for them to settle themselves.
"If I may, I would to know why two such interesting parties have come this way," he raised an eyebrow quizzically
Guren linna gen cened-My heart sings to see you

Faero nodded and turned to speak to his Ranger companions. They moved to assist the Elf healers while Faero himself folded his arms and regarded the other newly-arrived band curiously. He had not seen the like of them in some time.
"My lord Legolas," he said at last, offering a slight bow at the leader of the other band. "It is an honour to cross paths with you, even under these circumstances."

"Indeed, my Lord," the Lorien Elf said, gazing at the wounded on the ground. "We are too few to provide sufficient protection to travellers, though we do try." A sad smile onto the Ranger's face. His fingers felt cold and numb on the hilt of his sword, still gripped in his hand. Much was lost in the attempt to fight back the darkness. "What is there to be done, my Lord, to combat this illness that befalls your forest home?"

~Heh, guys! You left me in the dust! Well, I suppose it makes it feel more realisitc is Fire is out for a time... LOL~
My head clears, and I open my eyes, the daylight floods into my line of vision and I moan, though now the pain is a numb feeling throughout my entire body. I look around, I'm still covered in blood, but most of it is dry.
I struggle to sit up, my muscles cry out in protest to the movement, but I do anyway. I look around anxiously, my head starts to throb uncontrolablly. Dead Orcs and Uruk-hai litter the ground where the battle took place, the grass was stained black by thier blood and the blood of others. Suddenly a thought hits me...
Panic courses through me like fire as I whip my head around frantically, I didn't see Anormir. I silently cursed myself, I could not go on without my best friend, my battle partner, the grief at losing him would be just too much for me to bear.
"Saesi shar ei malol, shaesi air ci?!" I ask no one in particular, then I spot him, the Elf that was supposed to have been helping us was standing but a few yards away, chatting casually with the others. I narrow my gaze, my eyes turning the deep indigo color as rage once again ran like rabid wargs through me. I struggle to my feet, staggering slightly.
"Pas o! O tyrdas! O shaesi medyraer sai shol eir!" I shout, my voice hoarse, but loud enough to classify as a shout...
Translations:
"Saesi shar ei malol, shaesi air ci?!"- There was a stallion, where is he?!
"Pas o! O tyrdas! O shaesi medyraer sai shol eir!" - D*nm you! You coward! You were to bring aid!

My muscles tensed as I stirred. The hard forest floor unforgiving to my aching body. My grey eyes were clouded with pain and overall with confusion. I had memory of running after Tari, when did I lose consciousness? Whay am I still living..? I closed my eyes as they refused to come into focus. I let my body rest for long moments before attempting to stand. My muscles ached horribly and my wounds screamed for me to let go. Fatigue took me over and I sank lightly to the ground. Darn it! Why did I live!
"Saesi shar ei malol, shaesi air ci?! Pas o! O tyrdas! O shaesi medyraer sai shol eir!" The foreign tongue again rang through my ears, Tari. This was not my place. I did not belong amoung these seemingly perfect, fair beings. I heard another voice, a males, a voice clear and flowing. I put him under soft scrutiny, my eyes curious and hungry.
[Bah! Sorry, I am running low on muse...]

"Pas o! O tyrdas! O shaesi medyraer sai shol eir!"
Haldir tried to conceal a wince as her voice ran out like a bell. He had the impression she wished to hide her sex and was about to comment on it but thought better of it. Instead he looked over at Rumil calmly sitting back on his heels.
"Maybe you did too much for this one muindor," Haldir said warily then turned to face the fiery thing. As he was about to retrieve her horse he stopped in mid-step as Legolas tried to calm her.
"Im Legolas Thranduilion... en Taur-nu-Fuin. I na le?"
To be honest with himself he was as interested in knowing this small fact as much as any of the others. Granted he was hoping for any gleam of sense to make itself known at this point. It was to be in vain how ever as her friend stirred capturing their attention. Keeping the female in his sight just in case he turned with the others as the half-elf stirred.
Haldir turned questioningly at the light touch of Legolas hand on his shoulder. "He is rousing, mellon. [friend] I believe he will be alright. Do you concur, Graypir?"
Smiling at his friend he's eyes danced with silent laughter. May your joy of life never leave you mellon! he thought warmly placing a hand on his friends shoulder in return.
"Autanin Faero na... le meldor na et'nótër." [Leave Faero be... your friends were outnumbered.]
It was hard for Haldir not to snort too loudly at this, though he was sure Legolas heard his attempt to cover it. He leaned in to murmur softly, "I fear you may want to keep an I on that one, mellon! The fire that burns underneath that skin shan't be dimmed easily. Or maybe we should watch Faero..for his well being," he smiled openly with delight.
