Haldir watched the prince of Mirkwood walk away towards the forest. He wasn't sure if he could stand another surpise today. This was not exactly the best place to recieve such things. He watched Calad follow the younger elf, emotions flashing across his face. Contimplating on weither to stay and watch over the others he decided against it and walked over to the other two elves.
"What is this?" he lightly cocked his head to listen.
"I believe the fiery one's stallion is in there."
"Hmm..the female is not ready to go after her own horse. It would be quite foolish to leave it in there as well," He turned to the two. "With all due respect I think it unwise for you to go as well Legolas, nîn mellon."
He turned his back to the forest taking in the momentary camp and its members. This was not the best of places to be he had to admit. "We will need to move soon.." With a sigh he turned back towards the forest.
"My band has had the pleasure of a fine fight, and this is not our home," he pointed out. Turning to Calad with a small smile and bow of his head. "The decision is your's, mellon. Min gîn tortho(we are yours to command).

Ithilethiel propped his chin up on his hand and smiled akwardly. A flicker of light ran through his gray eyes. Tari obviously lived up to the name the rangers gave her. If not whatched she will beat the life out of Faero. Ithilethiel mused silently. He himself had nothing against him. He doubted much would be different if the rangers had arrived before the Uruk's attacked. Elvish words floated through the air like honey, a slight frown creased Ithilethiel's pale lips. He had a deep yearning to know the ancient tongue for many here used it. While pondering these thoughts he tried his luck at standing again. With a sigh he did his best to ignore his protesting body with little avail. He was still healing non-the-less. The ground seemed to move under his frail body, he shook a little immediately wanting nothing more but to sit. He stood there, not yet trusting his body to carry him.

~Whoa...~
I glare one last time at the Elf before dipping my head in agknowledgement to the apparent Prince of Mirkwood, now recalling the many jokes me, Elrohir and Elladan had shared about me being rivaled with him...
I follow the four to the edge of the wood, when all was quiet, I let out a high-pitched whistle, then waited. I heard the heavy foot falls of a horse, then the blue roan burst from the forest, coming right towards me and burring his head in my stomach in a friendly manner, nickering and snorting all the while.
I lift his large head up to look into his eyes, "What did you see, Anormir?" I ask quietly, almost a whisper. I turn to the others, the stallion's presence had given me strength, "Indeed these are dark times for Greenwood the Great, Anormir has told me he returned to the place we were attacked by the spiders, the bodies of the dead, are gone..." I say, sighing inwardly and looking at the great trees...

"Someday in this life time I shall not have to worry about surprises," Haldir muttered with a shake of his head. He turned to watched the female greet her horse and shrugged. "Well mellons," he pat the two elves next to him lightly on the back. "I give you the honor nin mellons of taking over!" he smiled widely at them, his eyes lids fluttering with silent laughter. He knew it was clear to them that he was talking about the female. He dropped his hands becoming serious. "I think I will join Graypir. I am interested in learning about this half- elf. Excuse me," and with that he walked off.
As he came by the female she looked up, a sad expression upon her face.
"Indeed these are dark times for Greenwood the Great, Anormir has told me he returned to the place we were attacked by the spiders, the bodies of the dead, are gone..."
Haldir was saddened at this news. He nor his band new of this spider attack, but death was never kind when by the spiders of Mirkwood.
"Garo hîdh nen gurth," he whispered to the winds. [Have peace in death.]
He strolled over to Graypir and the half- elf.
" Well met friend," he greeted Graypir friendly. Kneeling down to sit on his heels he eyed the half- elf with interest. " My name is Haldir," he stated. He stopped to read the males face. "Forgive me," he said this time in Westron. "My name is Haldir," he offered his hand in greeting. "What is your's friend?"

~Errmmm, I was talking about the dead spiders, only Fire and the other Ithi were there. Heh...~
I give a glare to Haldir, for I understood the meaning of his words also. I lean against Anormir, breathing in his woodsy/horsey scent with relish. "Ai eilyr jhyr o, Anormir, vaeri, pyl's jhaeli ti eindral..." I plead with the stallion, he gives a snort to reassure me of his presence and I sigh, the numb feeling leaving my body.
I was much stronger now, the blue roan stallion had given me more strength and now I only leaned on him for comfort more then support.
I turned to the other Elves, eyeing each one of them in turn and throwing a particularly fierce glare at the Elf known as Faero. I broke the silence, something I don't normally do, "Though I am not prepared to tell you my real name, the Rangers know me as Hellfire." I say, once again thinking about the Twins. I wondered if the Rangers that accompanied Faero knew of me, for they were indeed Rangers...
Translation: Ai eilyr jhyr o, Anormir, vaeri, pyl's jhaeli ti eindral..."- I almost lost you, Anormir, please, don't leave me again...

My name is Haldir, what is your's friend?" Ithilethiel was rather perplexed at Haldir's kind words. They had just barely met and he had said 'friend.' The word sounded alien to him. No doubt Talien taught him to hate, not only others but himself. He kept this emotion from showing in his eyes, they gave too much away. Too much...
My name... Ithilethiel, moon maiden... I swear to you Talien I will take you to your grave! He loathed his name deeply. Perhaps it would be better if he was a maiden, very much better indeed! It was not so, he was stuck with this alias, his real name drowned out and likely never to be discovered.
"Ithilethiel," he murmered trying to say it rather matter-of-factly. He had no doubt Haldir's elven ears had little trouble picking up the frustration in his voice. Absent-mindedly he fingered the empty sheath at his side. Slowly he felt the areas of his tunic were his wounds were afflicted, he frowned a little as the stiff, blood-dried, fabric chaffed his hand.

Haldir calmly held his hand out in a friendly jester. He was facinated by the males lugubrious eyes. What sorrowful fate could make such change in one so young. He waited patiently for the youngling to react, to feel some comfort. He knew not how his word effected the boy, but knew none the less that they did, in some way.
"Ithilethiel,"
This is his name?..the thought dashed through his mind. If this was anyone else Haldir's eyebrow would have shot up, and a smile would have been playing on his lips. But this was not the time and he willfully supressed any clue of amuzement.
"Well met, elvellyn. An interesting name, with an even more interesting story behind it I bet. One of these days I hope you feel you can tell," he said good natured.
Now seeing that the youth had no intention of taking his hand he casually gave Ithilethiel a gentle pat on the arm before puting it down.
"You are indeed among friends now, though you may see it not at this time. Trust in the wisdom of peace friend."

~Bleh... Not feeling good today, this might be a short post, I don't know...~
My senses returning to me, I once again feel the desire to retreat into shadow, 'now it is too late, you have exposed yourself...' I think, how stupid could I have been? But I had acted for the greater good, helping another, and now I felt I had overstayed my welcome and it was time to move on again.
I turned back toward the scene of the battle, my green eyes searching the area for my forgotten cloak. I see it, a grey area in a sea of black. I leave Anormir's side to fetch it, picking it up, and shaking it to remove the dust and such.
I return to the stallion, now leaning on him heavily, he nickers with concern, turning his large head towards me and nudging me tentitavely. I sigh, "No, mellon, this is not of your making, it is my own fault, now I must bear the consequences of my mistake..." I say quietly, grooming the horse's already silky mane with my fingers, entwining the strands of it around my hand.
Now the wounds are throbbing slightly from an amount of stress and I return to my normal reclusive mood, slipping the cloak around my shoulders and pulling up the hood so my face is once again hidden from sight...

Ithilethiel forced a small smile.
"No need to be polite about, my lord, Haldir. I think the name quite odd, myself." A bit of an understatement, I mused silently. My glance finds who the others call "Fiery one". Hellfire, I was deeply indebted to the fair maiden. What did he have to offer? He was simply a worthless slaveboy. He felt a light brush over his shoulder and turned back to Haldir. A smile lept to his lips in a more natural manner this time.
"You are indeed among friends now, though you may see it not at this time. Trust in the wisdom of peace friend." Haldirs words rang in his ears long after they were ceased to be said. Shallow they did sound now, but he knew they were far deeper when searched with the heart.
"Thank you... friend, I am forever in debt to you." He nodded in The elven prince's direction, "and you m'lord." He added quietly. Silver-misted pools again turned to Hellfire. His gaze locked on her slender form leaning against the stallion.

My heart aches at the words exchanged by Legolas and Faero, to stay in a place where I would always be welcome would be more then a dream, but alas, I had never been welcomed anywhere. I would agree to be led to the Nothern borders of Mirkwood, but then where would I go? To Lorien? Surely there was no place for me there.
Rohan was my only option, unless I was to go into Mordor, which I felt was unecessary. I did not want to go to Gondor, but the beckon to see the White City pulled me there. I decided that I would go to Rohan after I had wandered for a time.
I stratched Anormir's soft muzzle gently and kissed it, he blew into my face, then snorted, spraying his snot all over me. He then swished his long tail in annoyance as if in response to what I was thinking, rather, where I was thinking of going.
"Oh, so you don't want to go to Rohan?" I ask, chuckling for the first time in a long time and smiling from under my hood, then wiping my snot-covered face dry. I patted the stallion, "Well then, we can always go to Gondor?" I suggested he snorted again, "Lorien?" I asked, running out of options. Anormir whinnied shrilly, tossing his head. I laughed in earnest.
"You seem to want to go anywhere there are trees, or where you might have companions other then Elves..." I say, quietly. "Mellon, I have kept you on my wanderings far too long, we deserve a rest, aye?" I say, He nickers appreciatavely, I now feel the wieght of all that I had experienced come and rest on my shoudlers.
"Yes, we do need to rest..." I whisper, leaning on him heavily again...

"And what of your future?" Haldir asked standing up. He looked to the sun then back down taking in Hellfire and Ithilethiel. Looking one and then the other in the face he saw no set decisions. "We will not part for a time," Haldir stated. "Being as we are going in the same direction, I shall be bold and offer that we go even further together. Come and let me show you our home Lorin. For a time we can find peace and heal from wounds seen and unseen," his eyes flicker between the two. "It is but an offer of friendship. This moment I need talk to my people," meaning those that came with him. "Until we reach the edge of Mirkwood you need not decide. I suggest however being ready to ride. We are far from safety staying here. We must be on the move soon,"
Once more looking at each in turn Haldir regally nods his head to them, then sharply turning heads over to where his fellow guardians of Lorien now grouped. It was past time they be moving on..

I look up at the Marchwarden's words, not beliving what I hear. "Being as we are going in the same direction, I shall be bold and offer that we go even further together. Come and let me show you our home Lorin. For a time we can find peace and heal from wounds seen and unseen."
I smile, though it is not visible from under my cloak, I feel like I am truely happy and want to yelp for sheer joy. Anormir does that for me, hearing Haldir's words, he neighs again, shaking his large head and nudging me roughly in the back. He trots over to the Marchwarden, shoving his head into the Ellon's stomach and nickering approvingly...

Faero had remained silent for most of the exchange, deciding it wiser to hold his tongue. There was too much tension and high-running emotions for him to feel comfortable speaking. Now, he nodded at the Mirkwood Prince's words, glancing around at the other Elves.
"I shall bear that in mind, my Lord. Having a place to come to and be welcome is a rare enough thing for a wandering Elf." The Ranger smiled wanly. "I am not worried about the one called Hellfire. She knows the ways of the Rangers, and so knows also that one shall not drew steel against another without having to live in hiding for the rest of her days."
Turning toward Haldir, Faero offered a grateful nod. "My thanks for your aid, friend. It is long since I have seen or heard of such a gathering of warriors. However, the time draws near when we must depart. My two companions may remain behind, if their skills are needed further, but I have to travel far from here."

Lorien, a place that he did not fully believe existed. It must be so, though, this was no dream. I have no place in Lorien. He would return to Rohan as soon as they left the boundaries of Mirkwood. Absent-mindedly he ran his hand over the thin golden locks of his hair. It was notably shorter than the elves present. With a lng sigh he poked at a tree limb on the forest floor. Something flashed through his eyes as he gazed at it thoughtfully. He bent over and took it into his thin, pale hands. Slowly he bent it. The limb flexed easily for it was the limb of a sapling. He touched the fawless bark carefully, almost tenderly. He nodded to himself and placed it in his quiver. Looking at Haldir he tilted his head slightly back. No words were said, but perhaps the elven lord knew he had no plans to go to Lorien. With a casual shrug he strode easily over to the roaned stallion, Anormir. There was no doubt he was recovering well as was Hellfire.

Before truly aware of the gay creature, lost in his own thoughts, Haldir was playfully butted in the stomach to the gentle sound of nickering. Stopping the creature from pushing him to the ground Haldir lift its head to look into the intelligent eyes. Blowing into it's face in respect, and receiving the treatment in return he smiled.
"I see you have decided upon your course, but what of the fire you carry?" he raised an eyebrow looking in Hellfire's direction. Her face was hidden farther in her cloak, covered in shadows. Haldir's smile twitched wider. She would follow her friend to Lorien. He nodded his acknowledgment of her decision and turned his eyes to those of Ithilethiel.
And what of you youngling? He sighed in his head. If I were to see you as your elf half ,being but a little one, I would order you to come..yet unlike other elflings you would not follow. If I was to see the human..you are still too young..and yet sway you I couldn't..?
He saw clearly the expression he expected to see. This one would run. Haldir wondered if Ithilethiel truely knew how special he was. Does Galadriel know of this boy..? the question went unanswered.
Catching Legolas beckoning to him, Haldir strolled over.
"Mellon, does our Lady of Light know of the half-Elven male there? If so, what is his story? I did not know that there were any other unions but for the one that may occur in Imladris between Estel and Arwen...?"
Before the other elf had finished Haldir's head was already shaking no. "You know as much as I Legolas. I know of no other encounter yet obviously there was. Already this one wishes to run..."he stopped in thought a bemused look covering his face. "Ah but how my mind slips. The legend of Dol Amroth..." he looked at Legolas. "Be it as it may this little one I wish to introduce to the Lady if in him she knowest not. Time we have to incourage such. Are your elves ready to travel? " His smile played between the two elves in front of him.

I smile at the antics of the stallion as he comes back to me, head and tail held high. He snorts, stopping in front of me and tossing his beautiful head in eagerness to travel. "Rest now, mellon, we have a journey ahead of us, though you may not be weary, I sense we may be long in the crossing of Mirkwood." I say, wondering what other dangers besides the spiders await us in the deeps of the forest.
A gentle wind rustles the topmost leaves of the trees, making a swishing sound as it sweeps through them. I glance up, dark storm clouds gather above, "Aye, mellons, we should start into the forest now if we wish to seek shelter from the impending storm." I say, speaking louder as the wind rises to a low buzzing howl...

~FINALLY!!! *huggles Leggy*~
Anormir snorted, nudging me gently as if asking me to mount him. I was a little stiff and struggled to get onto his broad back, it hurt, but I managed to lean on his withers, he turned his head and nuzzled her knee comfortingly as I felt my features contort in a grimace of pain. He nickered gently and turned to face forward, eyeing the forest looming over us with some distaste. "Anormir, we have to go into the forest if you want to get to the other side... " I say hoarsely, laughing gently.
The magnificent roan snorted, pawing the earth as if to say, 'I was just looking at the trees... ' I could tell from his manner and mood he was joking also. I was so tired, I couldn't sit up, I leaned on the stallion's neck, rubbing it all over softly.
Anormir walks forward slowly, turning to the others eagerly awaiting thier say-so in when he was supposed to start into Mirkwood, he wanted to be the first one in, as usual, which did not surprise me in the least, I smiled painfully as I recall his protective instinct, trying to sit up on him, but failing miserablly...

((Sorry loves work took me away...then my heart was stolen..tis another story *_*))
All but for his band were upon horses yet worried Haldir was not as with a small smile he directed his fellow elves into the forest. As he had thought, the one known as Fire was the first to move, therefore leading the motley bunch. His eyed narrowed however when noticing her lack of strength and grace..
We may have to tire her to her horse.. he thought as he watched his scouts blend into the trees.
Looking up at Legolas : "Then we concur, he must meet the Lady indeed..I wonder yet what brews in thine mind. For your eyes seek inward, my friend. Tis a time to be watchful..many a foe I fear now lurk in the once fair Mirkwoods. "
He sighed as he noticing Fire's weak bearings once more. "We must watch the two. They are not yet as whole in health as I would wish them to be.."
Haldir grew quite his eyes forever moving as they entered the woods.
