n 1943 a school was built on the site of an old English castle. It lied on the bottom of a small mountain, and ironically enough the school was named Hilltop Academy. It didn't take long for the school to gain fame, and soon parents were sending their children across the country just to apply to join Hilltop. With roaring academics, and unbeatable sports teams, this was the place to be if you wanted to secure your future. Even adults came here to ask for jobs. From Harvard students, to homeless slobs, adults begged for anything to do. Many were turned down as they came. On average, over 300 adults were turned away from Hilltop.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]I
ne of these people was Tyler Skipil. As a young boy he studied and studied, hoping to someday become a part of Hilltop Academy. In 1954, at the age of 29 he finally got the chance. Trekking over 100 miles on Subways, taxis, and even on foot he finally made it to Hilltop. He applied, and waited three weeks in an apartment before the school responded. They were allowing him an interview. He was so overjoyed that he screwed it up. He waited another four weeks before they declined his offer. Before returning to his home town, Tyler stopped at the school, and confronted the receptionist, his exact words being, "Without me this school will crumble. I've lived my whole life for this school. And when the school does fall, I'll be there, waiting. You'll come begging for my help, and I'll turn you away just like you did to me." The receptionist, used to these threats from other failures, turned him away once again with a wave of her hand.O
Tyler waited 30 years, watching, waiting. But, the dying day never came. Quite the opposite, the school prospered, gaining over 100 acres of land that they drowned with recreational buildings, and trails, and one large warehouse for extra storage. At the age of 59 years, Tyler was so angered by this he sent his daughter, Marianne Skipil to 'infiltrate' the school, and destroy it. Marianne, willing to do anything for her father, obeyed immediately. Another year passed before Marianne got her chance. Marianne burned the school to the ground, along with many of the people in it. The school was so large, it was impossible for fire crews to figure out what- or who had caused it.
Five years passed, and Tyler died of lung disease. Marianne, almost wanting to shove it in the faces of the creators of the school, bought much of the vacant plot of land and built what is now known as Hilltop Camp for Juvenile delinquents. Now, 13 years after the camp's creation, it mocks all that the former academy stood for, with teenagers who lost the war with the law, including Marianne's own son, Trace Skipil. The camp is harsh and volatile, a place no one would be willing to join. Will you face the challenges of the camp, or will you fall in sight of the powerful gates?
