If you could live anywhere in Middle Earth, where would you pick to live? Why?
I'd live in the North, probably close to where the Numenorians lived, because I already live in that kind of climate, and well, it suits me. Or, I'd live close to the mountains, because I also live close to mountains, and I feel weird without those lumps in the background.

To live in Beorns lodge with all those animals and bee hives would rather fun i think! + he may even teach me how to to change... Then again I've heard the night life's better in the cities of Gondor (Junglist massive on Rath Celerdain.)

I'd say either Dol Amroth, the caves of Mirkwood, or Hobbiton. Dol Amroth because I love coastal living and who wouldn't want to live near Prince Imrahil? Mirkwood or Hobbiton because I like being underground...feel safe and protected (I probably have some sort of issue with recreation of the womb, but whatever).

G: I sleep fetal most of the time so I guess you're not the only one.
A: Beorn lives in the Anduin valley, his house is not far from the Carrock (north of the old ford of Anduin); the lodge and gardens hidden in a grove of ancient Oak trees. Unfortunately the house is not marked on the maps but it is a short days march east from the carrock ford, which is marked on some detailed versions of it. (eg Unfinished tales) I would like it there, Beorn is a vegetarian like me; he doesn't take kindly to people eating his animal servants!
(If you meant Rath Celerdain, it's Lamp-wright Street in the lower circle of Minas Tirith.)

No, I just wanted to know where it was on the map so I could find it myself. ;D
I have another place I'd like to live. The Grey Havens. I love the ocean, so yeah, woo.

I've never seen the ocean...
I wonder if i shout loud enough you would hear me across the north sea in paris...
I live in Mordor... I mean England sorry.
Paris is the city of love hope you have a good time yo.
The falas might be a more scenic place to stay if you like that sort of thing. Lets face it the bay of forochel is just too cold! I have a character from there, called Hann; the Lossoth rule man serious now. Just got to the interesting part of the rp with him and it petered out, doh!
How about Rhosgobel where Radagast the Brown lives that would be nice.

Yeah, I live by a very cold ocean, so I have no worries if the ocean is cold or not. I still love it!
And I might live in Rivendell.... not to be cliche or anything, but that kind of mountiany-woodsy thing is right up my alley.

Rivendell would be nice this time of year, thats very true; the woods are shrinking too fast to comprehend. Soon all will be barren and lifeless as the black lands woe is me... The wine in Esgaroth is good so i've heard, we all know they get the best of the westward traffic! Oh I just remembered Menegroth of Beleriand, thats the one for me! Melian... *Swoon* Saying that Galadriel was there at one time and she's quite dishy!

I could quite happily live anywhere in Middle Earth, It would only be a trouble to find one place and actually stay there for any amount of time would be the tough part ;D The shire would be nice becuase the hobbits remind me of most Canadians anyways, LOL but it would be too quiet for me though there is definately the appeal there. Next I would say Rohan, but mostly for the people and culture, the lands are beaitful but I would miss having trees and woods, It would be great for riding though! But since it is relatively "landlocked" and I have always lived on the shores of one of the 5 great lakes I would miss the waters. So ultimately I would say Dol Armoth on the coast, overlooking the Ocean. There are many, many sailors in my family so the Sea is kind of in my blood

That looks abseloutely beatiful, I definately be happy in visiting a place like that (Though right now I would be all too happy to go anywhere where there are not sheets of ice all around) Its true that I would also visit any Elven realm, becuase how could you *not* want to But at the same time I would worry that I would spend the entire trying not to trip over my own feet and maintain *some* amount of poise when a male elf walks by, it would be hard! "Oh great, its *her* again" lol

I couldn't live in a place like Minas Tirth either, becuase it reminds alot of Toronto where I was today, which is an abseloutely huge beyond all reasoning city, but its pretty much all stone, and while I can marvel at how many small parts come together so well on a daily basis to make it all work, I could never ever live there. Coming from a town where there is not even a public transit system, Its not even possible to feel more out of place than trying to figure out train schedules that feel like you need a PhD in something to deceipher them!
Its large, It has everything, and its wonderfully diverse...but its not for me. I think that where I would want to *live* and where I would travel are two completely different things, Given a chance I would travel all around Middle Earth without hesistation several times over, but I can apprechiate how vast it really is, instead of these people who write there character is say, hanging out in Bree one day, and then is in Rohan the next day, It would simply not work, that is assuming that they don't have a giant eagle at there disposeable.
I hadn't really considered a womans role in middle earth, he had a couple strong characters but they were the extrodinary. As much as I would love to emmerse myself in middle earth, there are so many "modern things" I would need, such as certain femine products becuase I don't recall there being too many drug stores in Middle Earth, lol, and of course the Ibrprofen and such, also very vital!
