Wouldn't it be nice to have a Beleriand board for all those 1st age stories to go. So many interesting places...
Doriath; Menegroth..., Neldoreth, Brethil, Region, Nan Elmoth etc.
Ossiriand; Ascar, Thalos, Legolin, Brilthor, Duilwen, Adurant etc
Thargelion; The marches of Maedhros, lake Helevorn, Himring.
Hithlum; Mithrim, Nevrast, Dor-Lomin, Lammoth, Ered Wethrin
Ard-Galen, AngBand and Taur-nu-fuin (Dorthonion), The hidden city of Gondolin
So many places and so little time...
The lands west of the Blue Mountains were full of adventure!

True but there were heroes and villains all over the place; often the forefathers of our well known characters.
No one would likely use such a board, save me...

Hmm, that actually would be a pretty cool place to post. But then all the 1st and 3rd age stuff would prolly get confused...

Not sure it would. The geography being so different and mostly self contained from what we know of Middle Earth. It has to be admitted there are great characters (of whom i would never trouble the Ladies of TLF to audition.) such as; Thingol, The greatest ever Sindar King; forebear to My name sake. Maeglin, son of the noble Dark Elf of the enchanted wood Nan-Elmoth; mothered by a High elf Princes. Melkor, a more powerful version of Sauron, who was his Lieutenant. Lots of Dragons and Balrogs as well! (cuts the long story short.) ...and many, many more besides.

I personally would be more than happy to ride through the Marches of Maedhros and look Melkor in the eye one last time before he casts me into oblivion! or i could just hang round and admire the beauty of Menegroth before its end...
Now second age could be confusing with third as it all happens in much the same places. It all sounds good to me though!

Because of my history I could never go to Gondolin... And that would be a hard place to rp in, as anybody who ever went to Gondolin was not allowed to leave. So your character couldn't just go and 'visit'. It's sort of the same with Doriath, as Elu didn't allow others into his realm. And even if others somehow did get in they couldn't xD

Sightseeing in the First Age, lmao *giggles uncontrolably*
Though it'd still be fun to rp in that age, even if you had to stay in your respective realms.

I RP Thranduil as growing up in Menegroth, before its fall. As a survivor, he is inspired to build a delving of his own...
I think the first age is special above even the other three... The only time you could RP a full blooded Vanyarin walking Middlle earth for a start (but then apparently the films would have it that blond haired, blue eyed elves were comman place.)
Thranduil has golden hair; perhaps his son too. Galadriel... obviously; but where did all the others spring from?

its a sheme though, that they felt the need to create such defined 'sillouettes' for each race, and in doing so leave out masses of variety and detail... gutted!
